Education - Lewis Active

Proud to have been a part of Education since 1997

My passion for education has been a constant throughout my 28-year career in sport and teaching. From my early days as a sports coach to becoming a qualified teacher, I have always believed in the power of physical education to shape confident, capable, and resilient young people. I have taught across a wide range of primary schools in North Devon and North Cornwall, and have had the opportunity to lead PE, write bespoke curriculum content, and support whole-school approaches to physical wellbeing. My experience extends beyond the classroom too — working closely with schools through roles with Devon FA, Active Devon, and PEDPASS to deliver high-quality PE and school sport. Today, through Lewis Active, I continue to work directly with main stream schools and special needs schools to deliver inclusive, values-led physical education and afterschool provision that places the child at the heart of the experience.
